[ Size ] Blade length 53.6cm (1 shaku 7 sun 7 bu 0 rin), sori 0.45cm (1 bu 5 rin), moto-haba 2.98cm, moto-kasane 0.72cm, saki-haba 1.97 cm, saki-kasane 0.42 cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 537.0g , shirasaya length 77.5cm
[ Period ] Edo, first half of.
[ Province ] Settsu

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is ordinal. Kasane is relatively thick compared with mihaba. There are some differences between moto-haba and saki-haba. Chu-kissaki form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are suji-kais. Saki is ha-agari kuri-jiri. One hole.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada well grained. Fine and rich jinie attached.
Hamon : It runs in sugu. Yakidashi legth is short. In notare hamon, gunomes, sharp and squre shape blade pattern mixed. Ashi and sungashi appeared. Ko-nie attached.
Boushi : It runs in sugu. Form is ko-maru. It turns deeply.

[ Highlight ] Tadatsuna I was born in Shichijo, Nangozato Village, Sakata County, Omi Province (Shichijo Town, Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture). Trained in Banshu Himeji, he went to Kyoto. It is said that he took the name Awataguchi because he temporarily lived with a descendant of Awataguchi Kunitsuna. In 1648 he moved to Osaka, where he was appointed Omi Daijo and then Omi no Kami. The work is also known as wazamono. The body has a shallow sori. It is a beautiful piece of work with a bright, ko-nie and midare-bas.

[ Conditions ] In excellent condition. Can be preserved and appreciated in its present condition.
