[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is ordinal. High shinogi and wa-zori attached. Chu-kissaki form.
Nakago : O-suri-age. Yasurimes are (omote) reverse gyaku-taka-no-ha (ura) yoko-yasuri. Saki is kiri. Five holes.
Jigane : Itame, mokumes and some changes and o-hada mixed. Some grained patterns come to be surface. Jinie attached. Shira-ke-utsuri comes to be appeared.
Hamon : Sugu-ha tone, ko-gunomes and ko-midare mixed. Fine konie attached. Sunagashi appeared.
Boushi : It runs in sugu. Form is ko-maru. Saki is haki-kake shape.

[ Highlight ] Ryokai was a Yamashiro swordsmith of the late Kamakura period (1185-1333), and is dated to the Shōo, Kagen, Enkei and Shōwa periods. He is said to have been a student of Rai Kunitoshi and later became his adopted son, and his style is close to that of Rai Kunitoshi and is thought to have been made in roughly the same period. This piece has a slightly slender, deep curvature with a slightly slender rim and a slightly deep curvature, and the Jigane, which is a mixture of itame grain, wood grain and stray skin, is brilliant, with a straight blade that is full of fine ko-nie and has a sense of moisture.
