[ Size ] Blade length 45.4cm (1 shaku 4 sun 9 bu 8 rin), sori 1.2cm (3 bu 9 rin), moto-haba 3,00cm, moto-kasane 0,56cm, saki-haba 2,08 cm, saki-kasane 0,45 cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 456g , shirasaya length 64cm, koshirae length : 72cm
[ Period ] Edo "江戸", first half of
[ Province ] HIzen "肥前"

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is relatively wide. Moderate sori attached. There are some differences betwenn moto-haba and saki-haba. Chu-kissaki form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are o-suji-kai. Saki is iri-yama-gata. One hole.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada well grained. Rich jinie attached. Fine chikei appeared.
Hamon : In gunomes, ko-notares and cho-ji-bas mixed. Deep nioi and ashis appeared. Nie attached well. Sunagashis appeared. Tobi-yakis tempered. At the moto, there is short and sugu form yaki-dashi.
Boushi : It runs in sugu, Saki is haki-kake form. It turns in round.

[ Highlight ]

The first generation Masahiro "正廣" was the son of Yoshinobu "吉信", who was son-in-law of Tadayoshi "忠吉", His first name was Masanaga "正永". Although it is said to have been renamed Masahiro "正廣" in Kan'ei "寛永" 2 and he has received Kawachi daijo "河内大掾" in Kan'ei 5, however, the actual chronology indicates that around Kan'ei 17-19 is considered appropriate. He died in the 5th year of Kanbun "寛文" at the age of 59. After the death of the first generation Tadayoshi, he was also devoted to assisting the main family's Omi DaijoTadahiro"近江大掾忠廣". With regards to swords, and in his own works, he excelled in the midare-bas with few sugu-ha. The work is well nie attached, clear and powerful, and it is good at tempering a typical midare-bas.

[ Conditions ]
The sword is old polished, but it is in good condition and can be preserved and appreciated as it is. The koshirae is not accompanied by any metal fittings such as a menuki, tsuba, kozuka-kogatana. And the tsuka-maki has been removed.

Habaki (suaka-ji, silver foiled), shirasaya, bag of shirasaya, koshirae, bag of koshirae and NBTHK Tokubetsu kicho paper "特別貴重刀剣認定書" (issued on 22nd Oct. Showa "昭和" 41 (1966))
