[ Signature ] omote : no signature ura : -
[ Size ] Blade length 71.5cm (2 shaku 3 sun 5 bu 9 rin), sori 2.0cm (5 bu 9 rin), moto-haba 3.07cm, moto-kasane 0.67cm, saki-haba 2.22 cm, saki-kasane 0.51 cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 810.5g , shirasaya length 101.5cm
[ Period ] Edo, first half of.
[ Province ] Hizen

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is relatively wide. Kasane is ordinal. Higher shinogi-suji amd moderate sori attached. Chu-kissaki, extended form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are kiri. Saki is kuri-jiri. One hole.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada well grained. Fine and rich jinie attached.
Hamon : Gunomes, ko-notare, o-gunomes and cho-ji-ba taste blade mixed. Deep nioi and ashis appeared. Ko-nie attache well. Kin-sen, sunagashis and tobi-yaki appeared.
Boushi : It runs in sugu which has ko-maru form. Saki shows haki-kake shape.

[ Highlight ] The sword has a wide blade, a deep nioi and a beautiful wavy blade pattern. Masahiro I was the grandson of Hizen Tadayoshi I and the son of Tadayoshi's daughter-in-law Yoshinobu, and his first signature was Masanaga, which was changed to Masahiro in Kan'ei 2. From about Kan'ei 18, works with the name Kawachi daijo can be seen. After the death of Tadayoshi I, he assisted Tadahiro II and is known as the most skilled of the Hizen swordsmiths.

[ Conditions ] Old polish and some minor rust, but generally excellent.
