Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Both mihaba and kasane are ordinal. High shinogi-suji attached. There are some diffrences between moto-haba and saki-haba. Deep koshizori and saki-zori attached. Chu-kissaki form.
Nakago : Suri-age. Yasurimes are kiri. Saki is kiri. Two holes.
Jigane : Itame-hada. Mokumes and some changes mixed. Rich jinie attached. Chikei appeared. JI-fu spot like patterns mixed.
Hamon : Sugu-ha. Ko-midare and ko-gunomes mixed. Deep nioi appeared. Ko-nie attached. Kin-sens and sunagashi appeared. Distinction between blade and jigane shows some mixture. Kui-chigai-bas mixed.
Boushi : It runs in hakikake. Flame shape.

[ Highlight ] At the western foot of Mount Wakakusa in Nara, there is a temple dedicated to the Thousand-Armed Kannon (Goddess of Mercy), and a group of swordsmiths who lived in the area are known as the Senjuin school. Of the five Yamato schools, the Senjuin school is the oldest, dating back to the late Heian period, according to an ancient tradition. This work shows the ancient style of the Yamato Senjuin school, with a deep koshi-zori attached body structure, a jigane with thick ground nie with itame grain mixed in, a straight blade with small ko-gunome alternate grains and ko-midare small wavy blade patterns, and a blade pattern with Kinsuji, sunagashi and fraying, and a blade with kui-chiga-bas. The flow masa near the blade on the front is pronounced, and the jiba is brilliant.

[ Conditions ] Old polishing, but generally excellent in its present condition for conservation and appreciation.
