[ Size ] Blade length 61.6cm (2 shaku 0 sun 3 bu 3 rin), sori 1.0cm (3 bu 3 rin), moto-haba 2.86cm, moto-kasane 0.65cm, saki-haba 2.11 cm, saki-kasane 0.44 cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 606.5g , shirasaya length 87cm
[ Period ] Edo "江戸", beginning of.
[ Province ] Ki-i "紀伊"

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Both mihaba and kasane are ordinal. Shallow sori attached. Chû-kissaki extended form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are kiri. Saki is kuri-jiri. One hole.
Jigane : Itame-hada well grained. Mokumes and some changes mixed. Jinie attached. Clear chikei appeared.
Hamon : Chû-sugu-ha. Senqunenced ko-gunomes mixed. Deep nioi appeared. Edge of blade has some changes. Ko-nie attached. Sunagashis appeared. Nioi-kuchi is so clear.
Boushi : It runs in sugu. Form is ko-maru. Saki shape is haki-kake. It truns deeply.

[ Highlight ] Shigekuni, whose home country is Yamato and whose alias is Kurosaburo, is said to be the last of the Tegai school. He served Tokugawa Ieyasu during the Keicho period (1603-1867) and made his swords in Sunpu (present-day Shizuoka). Later, when Yorinobu was transferred to Wakayama in Kishu, he settled there accordingly. The same name has been used for several generations. The ji and the blade are both bright and well finished in the style of Yamato-den straight blades.

[ Conditions ] Polished and in very good condition. The Koi kuchi of the white scabbard is a little tight.
