[ Feature ]
Form : Hira-zukuri. Iori-mune. Both mihaba and kasane are ordinal. Very shallow sori attached tanto form. On front and back sides, there are bo-hi grooves.
Nakago : Suri-age. Machi-okuri. Yasuremes are (old) higaki (new) kiri. Saki is kiri. Two holes.
Jigane : Itame-hada with some changes. Jinie attached. Shirake-utusuri come to be appeared on the surface.
Hamon : Gunome-midare. Togari-bas and cho-ji-bas blade mixed. Nioi-kuchi is so distinctive (against jigane). Ko-nie attached. Tobi-yaki tempered area appeared.
Boushi : It runs in midare-komi. Saki is round. It turns relatively long. Mune-yaki tempered area appeared.

[ Highlight ] Izumi-no-kami Kanesada and Kanemoto are the most famous of the Seki swordsmiths, who flourished after Bizen swordsmiths during the Muromachi period. Kanesada is known to have had several swords with the same name. Although it is impossible to tell from the current condition of the stem whether or not the character for 'kane' was originally present on this sword, the shape of the blade is variable, the nioi flavour is bright and brilliant, and the work has an austere yet florid quality, confirming that it was made by Kanesada, as is the case in the attribution.
