[ Size ] Blade length 23.9cm (7 sun 8 bu 8 rin), sori 0.2cm (6 bu 6 rin), moto-haba 2.32cm, moto-kasane 0.54cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 140.9g , shirasaya length 36.5cm
[ Period ] Edo, second half of.
[ Province ] Musashi

[ Feature ]
Form : Hira-zukuri. Iori-mune. Both mihaba and kasane are ordinal. Very shallo saki-zori attached. Tanto form which top side width comes to be narrower.
Nakago :Ubu. Yasurimes are katte-sagari. Saki is kuri-jiri. One hole.
Engraving : Both on omote front and ura back sides, there are futa-suji-his two parallel grooves along side together.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada well grained. Jinie attached.
Hamon : Koshi-biraki-gunome-midare, ko-gunomes mixed.
Boushi : It shows midare-komi patterns. Saki turns in ko-maru form.

[ Highlight ] This is a well-made short sword with a gorgeous blade pattern of gunome-midare with koshibiraki hamon patterns, which appears to have been modelled on the Bizen swords of the late Muromachi period. This work is thought to have been made in the late Edo period by a swordsmith of the Koyama Munetsugu lineage, who was a representative of the Edo shin shinto swordsmiths and was renowned as a master of the Bizen style.
