[ Size ]Blade length 71.6 cm (2 shaku 3 sun 6 bu 3 rin), curvature 1.2 cm (3 bu 9 rin) , base width 2.90 cm, (base) thickness 0.67 cm, tip width 1.94 cm, (tip) thickness 0.47 cm, 3 mekugi holes, blade weight 651 g, total length of shira-saya 101.5 cm.

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri, iori-mune, width and thickness normal, curvature slightly shallow, medium cutting edge.
Engraving: they are made by scraping a bar flume on the front and back with a square stopper.
Nakago : O-suri-age with three mekugi holes. 
Jigane : It is made of itame-grain with wood grain, with a slight change in places, and the base is slightly rough and has a pale, white shirake-utsuri reflection.
Hamon : blade has a fine straight edge, with a tightened, slightly boiling edge and a fine sunagashi pattern.
Boushi : it is immediately turned to a small circle and slightly swept at the tip.

[ Highlight ] The Bingo Hokke Ichijo school belongs to a different lineage from the Mihara school, the Asida-gun school in Bingo Province, according to the Kokin Mei-jin Taizen, and its founder is said to have been Sukekuni. The period of its activity spans from the Nanbokucho period to the Muromachi period, and works by Ichijyo, Kaneyasu, Yukiyasu, Shigeyasu, Shigeie, Nobukane and others are known to exist. This piece shows the characteristics of the Hokke school, with itame grain, wood grain, and a slightly itame-hada base, pale white reflections, and a low burnished, smoky, straight blade with a tightened edge and a small amount of nie.
