[ Size ] Blade length 11.8cm ( 3 sun 8 bu 9 rin), sori 0cm (n/a), moto-haba 1.63cm, moto-kasane 1.45cm, length of nakago 24cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 137.8g , shirasaya length 63.5cm

[ Period ] Edo, middle of

[ Province ] Yamato

[ Feature ]
Form : An equilateral triangle sei-sankaku-zukuri. Kera-kubi is short. Small size form.
Nakago : Ubu. Saki is kiri. Yasurimes are kiri and suji-kais. One hole.
Engraving Horimono : Each three side has bô-hi in the centre, with round-stop marudome.
Jigane : Itame-hada, changing its form.
Hamon : Sugu-ha, with hotsure. Nioi-kuchi is clear. Ko-nie attached.
Boushi : It turns in ko-maru.

[ Highlight ]
Kawachi-no-kami Kanesada was called Mojyu-Matasaburô. He was a swordsmith at Yamato province around Enpô(1673-1681). He did swords making in Kyô and Honjo, Edo as well. He had his signature such as "和州手掻包永末葉河内守包定". As signature of making years, Kanbun 11 "寛文十一", Enpô 3 "延宝三", Teikyô 3 "貞享三", etc.
