[ Signature ] omote : "備前國住長船祐定" ura : "永禄八年二月日"
[ Size ] Blade length 68.5cm (2 shaku 2 sun 6 bu 0 rin), sori 2.0cm (6 bu 6 rin), moto-haba 2.87cm, moto-mune-kasane 0.62cm, mot-saki-haba 0,28 cm, saki-kasane 0,28 cm, mekugi-ana(holes) 2, blade weight 655g , shirasaya length 99cm
[ Period ] Muromachi, second half of. Eiroku "永禄"8 (1565)
[ Province ] Bizen

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri, iroi-mune. Both mihaba and kasane are ordinal. High shinogi-suji attached. There are some differences between moto-haba and saki-haba. Modereate sori attached. Chu-kissaki extended form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are kiri. Saki is kuri-jiri. One out of two holes filled.
Jigane : Itame-hasa well grained. It bocomes flat muji pattern. Fine jinie atta
Hamon : Sugu-ha tone. Ko-gunomes and ko-midares mixed. Nioi-kuchi is distinctive against jigane. Ko-nie attached. Ko-ashis, yos, long kin-sens and sunagashis appeared. Yu-bashiri and tobi-yaki tempered area mixed.
Boushi : It has sharp top form, and it turns.

[ Highlight ] It is said to have been made at a time when the tachi sword had become obsolete and long swords were used, and the extended stem indicates that it was now used in various hands. The sword is made with high Shinogi-suji and has a slender figure, with forged skin that is well polished, and a well-defined nioi scent. Sukesada was one of the most prosperous of the Osafune swordsmiths known as Suebizen in the late Muromachi period (1336-1573).

[ Conditions ] Excellent. The shira-saya is new.
