[ Size ] Blade length 66.5cm (2 shaku 1 sun 9 bu 4 rin), sori 1.1cm (3 bu 6 rin), moto-haba 3.18cm, moto-kasane 0.73cm, saki-haba 2.26 cm, saki-kasane 0.50 cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 848.5g , koshirae length 96cm

[ Province ] Awa "阿波"

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is relatively wide. Kasane is ordinal. There are some differences between moto-haba and saki-haba. High sori attached. Chû-kissaki extended form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are sujikais and keshô. Saki is kuri-jiri. One hole.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada. Grained patterns tend to be appeared on surface. Some changes mixed. Jinie attached.
Hamon : Chô-ji-midare. Gunome-bas mixed. Ashis and yôs mixed.
Boushi : It runs in sugu. Form is ko-maru. Saki is haki-kake.

[ Highlight ] Ashu Yuho is called Rokuro in the Yoshikawa clan.、He was a student of Bizen Yokoyama Sukenaga, a swordsmith from Awa. The first signature is "Ashu Yoshikawa Rokuro Minamoto Sukieyoshi "阿州吉川六郎源祐吉". It is inscribed with the inscriptions 'Awa no kuni resident Yoshikawa Rokuro Minamoto Sukeyoshi 阿波国住人吉川六郎源祐芳', 'Ashu Yoshikawa Rokuro Minamoto Sukeyoshi 阿州吉川六郎源祐芳' and 'By Ashu Yoshikawa Rokuro Minamoto Sukeyoshi 阿州吉川六郎源祐芳作'. There are chronicles such as "Keio 1, 2, 3" and "Meiji 2". It is regrettable that the inscription has been erased. However, the blade and ha-machi are still in good condition. It is stored into iaia-koshirae sheath.

[ Conditions ] The blade is cloudy around the lower part of the scabbard. But otherwise good. The sword guard and the menuki are made of Edo period metal fittings. (e.g. "黒革巻石目塗鞘拵") Recently made with modern metal fittings on the fuchi-gashira, kurigata and kojiri. In excellent condition.
