[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Mihaba is wide. There are some diffrences between moto-haba and saki-haba.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are katte-sagari. Saki is kuri-jiri. One hole.
Engraving : Both on front and back, there are straight groves bo-his. They stop in round ends.
Jigane : Ko-imtae-hada well grained. Ko-mokumes mixed. Jinie attached. Chikei appeared.
Hamon : Gunomes, ko-gunomes mixed. Fine ko-ashis and yos appeared. Sunagashis appeared.
Boushi : It runs in shallow midare-komi form. Skai becomes hakikake with komaru form. It turns deeply.

[ Highlight ] This is a sword with a broad, bold body and a regular even-grained gunomes blade pattern, based on the Bizen school, and is attributed to Gassan Sadayoshi, the founder of the Osaka Gassan school. Gassan Sadayoshi (Yahachiro) was born in Sasagawa-mura, Dewa Murayama-gun, and trained under Suishinshi Masahide in Edo in the middle of the Bunsei era at around the age of 20. His students included his successor Sadakazu Gassan, as well as Kusano Yoshiaki, Horii Taneyoshi and Kenryushi Sadaharu.

[ Conditions ] There is slight minor rusting on the ridge mune and blade edge.
