[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is wide considering sword length. High shinogi-suji attached. There are few differences between moto-haba and saki-haba. Fort saki-zori attached. O-kissaki form.
Nakago : Suri-age. Saki is kiri. Yasurimes are katte-sagari. Three holes. Machi has been advanced.
Jigane : Itame-hada well grained. Rich jinie attached.
Hamon : Gunome, togari-bas mixed. Nie attached so much. Ashis, sunagashis and tobi-yakis appeared.
Boushi : It runs in shallow midare-komi. Saki turns with its point becoming sharp.

[ Highlight ] Nagakuni is a Miyoshi clan. Son of the Aki Hiroshima swordsmith Tsunekei. His childhood name was Yasuhiro, also known as Sozaemon and Toshiro.He is said to have been a student of his uncle, Harima-no-kami Teruhiro. He became the master forge of Kato Yoshiaki, lord of Iyomatsuyama Castle. He also traveled to Korea during the Bunroku era (1567-1568). With the relocation of his main family, he moved to Aizu, Oshu, in Kan'ei 4. He died on 18 June Kan'ei 8 at the age of fifty-five. His son Masanaga and grandson Nagamichi (Miyoshi) succeeded him in both families and prospered. This work is inscribed 'Aizu ju' and is a late work, made after the 4th year of Kan'ei. The sword has a high shinogi-suji (ridge with a high ridge at the top of the blade) and a warped tip, and the ground metal blade is well worked nie, giving the sword with a dynamic appearance.
