[ Period ] Muromachi
[ Province ] Tsukushi (Kyushu)

[ Feature ]
Form : HIra-zukuri, iori-mune. Compared with the blade width, it becomes relatively longer in length.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are shallow katte-sagari. Saki is kuri-jiri. Two holes.
Jigane : Itame-hada. Ko-mokumes and some changes mixed. Jinie attached. Fine chikei appeared.
Hamon : Sugu-ha. Nioikuchi becomes to be distinct. Ko-nie attached. Fine sunagashi appeared.
Boushi : It runs in sugu, then it turns in ko-maru form.

[ Highlight ] After the Nanbokucho period, swordsmiths of the Kyo Nobukuni school migrated to Kyushu and began to make swords, which they called Tsukushi Nobukuni to distinguish them from their home country Yamashiro. The sheath is inscribed "attributed to Tegai Kanemasa by Zuiki-do" (Tegai Kanemasa, Zuiki-do kiwame). This work is a tanto short sword of extended length style, with a gentle straight sugu-ha blade pattern on a jigane ground iron with a nie boiling effect.

[ Conditions ] There are very minor horizontal scuffs and flaws, but generally excellent.
