[ Size ] Blade length 76.0cm (2 shaku 5 sun 0 bu 8 rin), sori 2.0cm (6 bu 6 rin), moto-haba 3.16cm, moto-kasane 0.63cm, saki-haba 1.87 cm, saki-kasane 0.44 cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 771g , shirasaya length 105.5cm, koshirae length 105cm
[ Period ] Edo, beginning of.
[ Province ] Owari

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Both kasane and mihaba are ordinal. Relatively high shinogi-suji attached. There are some differences between moto-haba and saki-haba. Moderate sori attached. Chu-kissaki form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are katte-sagari. Saki is ha-agari, kuri-jiri. One hole.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada. Jinie attached. More or less grained patterns appeared on the surface.
Hamon : Gunomes, cho-ji-bas mixed. Ashis and yos appeared. Sunagashi appeared with attaching the nie. Tobi-yakis and yu-bashirs appeared.
Boushi : It runs in midare-komi form. Saki shows haki-kake shape. Its downward length is long.

Brown Ishime-nuri scabbard uchigatana koshirae : Sword guard with sea squirt design openwork (suaka-ji overlaid with copper), grape design on metal rim (inlaid with gold cloth on polished shakudo), wave design, menuki with millet mushroom design (gold coloured painting on copper).

[ Highlight ] It has a long, curved shape, with a slightly standing surface and a broad, large patterned, wavy blade pattern with nie and a strong spirit. This piece was identified in 1971 as 'Hoki-no-kami Nobutaka'. Hoki-no-kami Nobutaka was a swordsmith of the San'ami lineage whose home was Kozuchi, Mino, and was called Kawamura Saemon. He is said to have moved to Kiyosu, Owari, in the first year of Keicho, and to have lived in Nagoya from Keicho 15, following Tokugawa Yoshinao. He entered the priesthood in Kan'ei 10 and took the name Keiyu. He died in September Kan'ei 13 at the age of 76.

[ Conditions ] There are rough areas of jigane ground iron and light rust.

[ Attachments ] Habaki( suaka-ji, silver foiled, single), shirasaya, bago of shirasaya, koshirae, bag of koshirae and NBTHK Tokubetsu kicho paper (issued on 6th June Showa46(1971))
