[ Size ] Blade length 69.9cm (2 shaku 3 sun 0 bu 6 rin), sori 1.9cm (6 bu 2 rin), moto-haba 2.96cm, moto-kasane 0.65cm, saki-haba 1.80 cm, saki-kasane 0.42 cm, mekugi-ana(holes) 1 out of 3 filled, blade weight 594g , shirasaya length 97.5cm
[ Period ] Nan-boku-chô period
[ Province ] Bizen


[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is ordinal. High sori attached. Chû-kissaki extended form.
Nakago :Ô-suri-age. Yasurimes are katte-sagari. Saki is kiri. One out of three holes filled.
Jigane : Itame-hada well grained. Mokume mixed. Jinie attached. Chikei appeared. Utsuri is appeared.
Hamon : Continual ko-gunome-midare. Ko-ashi appeared. Nioi-kuchi is in rather tight shimari-gokoro state. Konie attached.
Boushi : It runs in sugu. It turns in very shallowly.

[ Highlight ]
Yoshii shcool was a group of swordsmiths who created the swords opposite side of Yoshii river, Osafune, Bizen county. They had their ancestor Tamenori. The swords created from second half of Kamakura period until Nanboku-chô by them called Ko-yoshii. They flourished following Muromachi period. They kept their style, creating the swords with continual ko-gunome-midare hamon even though other schools in Bizen were merged in Osafune school. On itame-hada forging surface which mixed mokumes, pale utsuri come to appear. It is specific that hamon in which ko-gunomes sequenced and ko-nie attached. After suri-age given, it has been maintaining its original magnific form.
