[ Size ] Blade length 31.8cm (1 shaku 0 sun 4 bu 9 rin), sori 0.6cm (1 bu 9 rin), moto-haba 2.46cm, moto-kasane 0.53cm, saki-haba 1.70 cm, saki-kasane 0.35 cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, blade weight 205.5g , shirasaya length 48.5cm
[ Period ] Edo, end of. Ansei 4(1857)
[ Province ] Bizen

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Both mihaba and kasane are ordinal. There are some diffrences between moto-haba and saki-haba. Shallow sori attached. Chu-kissaki small size wakizashi form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are kiri. Saki is ha-agari, kuri-jiri. One hole.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada well grained. Fine chikei appeared. Rich jinie attached.
Hamon : Gunome-choji. Ashis appeared.
Boushi : It runs in sugu. Form is komaru. It has long downward tempered area.

[ Highlight ] Yokoyama Sukehisa was a Bizen swordsmith from the late Edo period, and is known to have made swords in the Keio 2-3 years. This sword is dated to Ansei 4, which is considered to be a relatively early date in the period of swords with the Sukehisa signature. It is a small Wakizashi with Shinogi-zukuri, and the stem is expertly finished in the Bizen style, with a bright gunome choji blade with a well-grained itame-hada and a bright nioi.

[ Conditions ] There is minor rusting near the cutting edge of the shinogi-ji.
