[ Feature ] [ Highlight ] Kanesaki Hidetoshi is a swordsmith born in 1944 in Tottori City, Tottori Prefecture. From 1960, he trained under his father, Kanesaki Tenmokusai Suketoshi, and inherited his father's name, Tenryūshi.He received official recognition as a created swordssmith on 19 June 1967 and has since garnered numerous awards, including the Effort Prize and selections at the New Master Swords Exhibition. This particular piece features a broad blade with a high ridge, a significantly extended tip, and a richly patterned hamon. It exhibits a complex composition of deep, irregular hamon with a wavy blade pattern, blending into a belly-style pattern, while the upper half displays a full-tempered appearance. The blade's vibrant, varied hamon pattern, combined with its brilliantly forged surface, makes this a truly splendid sword. [ Conditions ] Excellent. |
