[ Province ] Mino

[ Feature ]
Form : Hira-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is ordinal. Kasane is thick. Sun-nobi-gokoro state. Shallow sori. With fukura.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are sujikais and keshô. Saki is kurijiri becoming a little narrower. One hole.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada well grained. Jinie attached.
Hamon : Togari-gunome-midare. Ko-nie attached.
Boushi : It runs in sugu. Naka-maru-gokoro state. It turns in long.

鞘小さ刀拵 : 葦雁図鐔(鉄地金色絵)、羽箒図目貫(赤銅容彫金色絵)、近江八景図縁頭・栗形・鐺(四分一地高彫金色絵)、織姫図小柄(赤銅魚々子地金銀色絵)
Koshi-ichibu-kizami kuro-ishimeji-nuri inrô-kizami kuroro-iro-nuri-zaya chî-sa-gatana koshirae : Reed and wild geese ashi-kari-zu tsuba (tetsu-ji kin-iroe), feather dusters hane-bôki-zu (shakudô katachi-bori kin-iroe), Ô-mi hakkei-zu fuchigashira, kurigata and kojiri (shibu-ichi taka-bori kin-iroe), princess weaver or Vega ori-hime kozuka (shakudô nanako-ji kin-gin iroe)

JYUMYÔ was called Toshinaga as well. It could be read as "long life" so that they became popular wearing as celebration swords among Samuraï during the periods ruled by them. In the school, there were Muneyoshi, Sukemune, Munetsugu, Kuniyoshi and others. They continued from Ô-ei through Edo period. This sword is considered created by a swordsmith of Jyumyô school in second half of Edo period.

[ Highlight ] Koshirae with Ô-mi hakkei "近江八景", ensemble of fuchi-gashira, kurigata and kojiri. Well coordinated chî-sa gatana koshirae. It save the sword attributed to Shin-shin-tô Jyumyô.

Conditions ] The blade has very shallow kitae-ware in the middle for ha side of omote. Old polishment. There are scratches and small rusts.

[ Attachments ] Habaki (suaka-ji, gold foiled, single), shirasaya, bag of shirasaya and NBTHK Hozon paper (issued on 19th March Heisei 22(2010))
