[ Signature ] omote : "尾嵜長門守藤原助隆" ura : "享和二年二月日"
[ Size ] Blade length 47,0cm (1 shaku 5 sun 5 bu 1 rin), sori 0,8cm (2 bu 6 rin), moto-haba 2,94cm, moto-kasane 0,64cm, saki-haba 2,13cm, saki-kasane 0,45cm, mekugi-ana(hole) 1, koshirae length 67cm
[ Period ] Edo, second half of. Kyôwa 2(1802)
[ Province ] Settsu

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori mune. Mihaba and kasane are both ordinal. Sori attached in moderate manner. Chû-kissaki form.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are ô-suji-kais and keshô. Saki is iriyama-gata. One hole.
Jigane : Ko-itame-hada well grained. Jinie attached.
Hamon : It runs in sugu at yakidashi. Ô-gunomes and ashi appeared. Ko-nies attached. Squared "ha"s mixed.
Boushi : Yakitsume. Saki becomes hakikake. It turns in komaru.

Koshirae : Kuro-ro-iro-nuri-zaya wakizashi koshirae
Tsuba : Mumon tsuba(shakudô migaki-ji)
Fuchi : Hai-ryû-zu (shaku-dô migaki-ji taka-bori kin-iroe)

OZAKI Suketaka was born in Harima province. He called himself Minamoto Goemon. He was a younger brother of Masahide.
He learned under KURODA Takanobu, received Nagatono-kami in Kansei 10. Then he moved the living place to Ôsaka. It was said that he died in his 53 years old.
At the beginning of Shin-shin-tô period, dô-ranbas, utsushi of Tsuda Sukehiro was so popular nationwide. But, they changed their minds creating the swords restoring old master piecies of Bizen-dan or Sô-shu-den. On the other hand, Suketaka sticked to create Tsuda utsushis, as a result, he succeeded to have excellent swords, earing high reputations.
After receving Nagato-no-kami, his swords had more name of Fujiwara in signature. Later on, specifically from end of Kansei to Kyôwa, he had a time signature not only in "草書" the cursive style but in "楷書" the printed style. This sword has the signature in the printed style.

Signature : "尾崎源五右衛門助隆", "尾崎源五右衛門尉助隆", "尾崎源五右衛門藤原助隆", "尾崎長門守藤原助隆", "尾崎長門守藤原朝臣助隆", "尾崎長門守助隆造", etc.
Nenki (name of era) : "天明(Tenmei) 三, 五, 七, 八", "寛政(Kansei) 元, 二, 三, 四, 五, 六, 七, 九, 十, 十一, 十二", "享和(Kyôwa)元, 二, 三", "文化(Bunkuwa)元" , etc.

[ Conditions ] Old polishment so that there are small rusts and scratches. However, no deep rusts and abrasion observed. With polishing, magnific appreciation can be expected. You can consult polishing and new shirasaya creation as well.
