Kunimichi

[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Mitsu-mune. Both mihaba and kasane are ordinal. There are not remarkable differences between moto-haba and saki-haba. Shallow sori attached. Chû-kissake so extended form.
Nakago : Suri-age. Yasurimes are ô-suji-kais. Saki is kiri. Two holes.
Jigane : Itame-hada is a little flowing and mokume mixed. Kitae hada can be obserbed more or less noticeably. Jinie attached. Around koshi-moto, flowing nagare-hada and ô-hada mixed.
Hamon : In ko-notare, ô-gunomes, chô-ji, ko-gunomes mixed. Deep nioi appeared. Nie attached well. Kin-sujis, sunagashis, tobi-yakis and mune-yakis appeared.
Boushi : It runs in midare-komi. Saki is haki-kake. It turns in pointy togari-gokoro.

[ Highlight ]
Jigane, which has Ko-itame hada, mokumes mixed. In notare hamon, it mixes notare gunomes and chô-ji-bas. Nie attached well. Nioikuchi is not so remarkable. Not yet have any appraisal. The signature is hard to read due to rust kuchi-komi of nakago, usually the signature given there.
It can not help considering at-mei (signature done later), however, the characteristics of the sword match to those of Dewa Daijyô Kunikichi. There are many points to appreciate. Compared with the image on screen, it can feel more fine surface pattern (hada-tachi).
It is noble polish which is hard to catch by lenses, with beautiful hadori. Jigane is so gorgeous.

Dewa Daijyô Kunimich was one of high pupil of HORIKAWA Kunihiro. He was clever or skillful to create not only Bizen-den but also other styles as well.
He lived so long. Thus, there was a study existed that there were two generations. He tempered Mishina style bô-shi, and had signed Kunimichi "國道", so that it inferred the relation with Mishina school.

[ Conditions ] There is kuchi-komi rust on nakago. There are some natural forging crack kitae-ware at mune and shinogi-ji. It has been already polished. Blade conditions are excellent.

[ Attachments ] Habaki (suaka-ji, silver foiled, single), shirasaya and bag of shirasaya.
