[ Size ] Blade length 39.8cm (1 shaku 3 sun 1 bu 3 rin), sori 1.1cm (3 bu 6 rin), moto-haba 2.95cm, moto-kasane 0.42cm, mekugi-ana(holes) 2, blade weight 363.5g , shirasaya length 59cm
[ Period ] Edo, end of.
[ Province ] Ko-zuke"上野"

[ Feature ]
Form : Shobu-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is relatively wide. Kasane is ordinal. High shinogi-suji attached. There are few diffrences between moto-haba and saki-haba. Saki-zori attached.
Nakago : Ubu. Yasurimes are taka-no-has. Saki is kengyo. Two holes.
Jigane : O-itame. Mokumes mixed. Jinie attached well. Chikei appeared.
Hamon : Ko-notare, gunomes mixed. Nie attached. Sunagashi, tobi-yakis and yubashiri appeared.
Boushi : It runs in midare-komi form. It turns round shape. It has long tempered area toward below.

[ Highlight ]Nakayama Yoshimichi was a swordsmith from Ueno Province (Gunma Prefecture) in the late Edo period (Tempo era). He was the adopted son of Yoshihiro Okkansai, who was renowned for his forged surface swordsmanship and learned from a descendant of Norishige Etchu, and inherited his father's swordsmithing methods. He later created swords in Sagami as well. This work has a well-grained, nie attached well, itame-hada skin with clear chikei, and a partially tempered midareba random blade with a long burnished boushi cap and tobiyaki on the shinogi-ji, giving it a powerful appearance.
