[ Size ] Blade length 56,0cm(1 shaku 8 sun 4 bu 8 rin), sori 0,8cm (2 bu 6 rin), moto-haba 3,00cm, moto-kasane 0,60cm, saki-haba 2,28cm, saki-kasane 0,48cm, mekugi-ana(holes) 2, blade weight 556,5g , shirasaya length 80,0cm, koshirae length 90,0cm

[ Province ] Echizen
[ Feature ]
Form : Shinogi-dukuri, iori-mune. Mihaba is relatively wide. Kasane is ordinal. Shallow sori attached. Fukura attached in chu-kissaki form.
Nakago : Suriage. Yasurimes are kiri. Saki is kiri. Two holes.
Jigane : Tobiyakis appeared on shinogi-ji. Muneyaki (tempering) done on mune. Well grained koitamehada. Fine ji-nie attached.
Hamon : Notare. Gunomes and togaribas mixed. Ashis and yôs appeared. Rich nie attached. Sunagashi and tobiyakis appeared.
Boushi : It has shallow midarekomi. Saki becomes sharp, then runs in hakikake.

Echizen Tsuguhiro school was swordsmith group of Echizen Shimosaka. They worked actively, first generation during Kanbun and second generation Genroku. It is said that first generation Tsuguhiro worked at Zen-sho of Go-shu province and Edo. Mei (signatures) and nenkis (time stamps) examples are as followings :

First generation : "近江守藤原継広 (Ô-mi-no-kami Fujiwara Tsuguhiro)", "越前国下坂継広 (Echizen-no-kuni Simosaka Tsuguhiro)", etc. Time stamps (明暦三(Meireki 3(1657)), 寛文三(Kanbun 3(1663)), 延宝六(Enpo 6(1678)))
Second generation : "近江守藤原継広(Ô-mi-no-kami Fujiwara Tsuguhiro" , " 越前国下坂継広 行守(Echizen-no-kuni Shimosaka Tsuguhiro Yukimori)" , " 越前下坂近江守藤原継広(Echizen Shimosaka Ô-mi-no-kami Fujiwara Tsuguhiro", etc. (元禄三(Genroku 3(1690)), 正徳二(Shotoku 2(1712))

Shu-kuro kawari-nuri wakizashi koshirae : Tsuba : tsutsumi-zu sukashi (iron), Menuki : Bon-ji(Sanskrit characters)-zu(Copper base, gold gilding), Fuchi-gashira : Uma(horse)-zu(Shaku-do Nanako-ji)

[ Conditions ] Some decades has past since last polishings, and some scratches observed. However, it can be appreciated and preserved as it is.
[ Attachments ] Habaki (suaka-ji single), shirasaya, bag of shirasaya, koshirae, bag of koshirae and NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho paper( issued on 29th June Showa 43(1968))
