[ Signature ] omote : - ura : -
[ Size ] Blade length 71,7cm (2 shaku 3 sun 6 bu 6 rin), sori 1,6cm (5 bu 2 rin), moto-haba 3,18cm, moto-kasane 0,65cm, saki-haba 2,31cm, saki-kasane 0,46cm, mekugi-ana(holes) 4, blade weight 688g , shirasaya length - cm
[ Period ] Muromachi, end of
[ Province ] Mino

[ Feature ] Form : Shinogi-zukuri, iori-mune. Kasane is relatively thick. Shallow sori attached. Saki-zori attached. Chu-kissaki extended form.
Nakago : Suri-a-ge. Yasurimes are katte-sagari. Saki is kiri. Mekugi-ana holes are filled three out of four.
Jigane : Itame-hada. Part by part, they do "nagare". Mokumes mixed. Jinie attached. Utsuri which have whitish tinge become significant.
Hamon : Gunome-midare which mixed togari-bas, gunome-cho-jis, ko-notares. Ashis appeared frequently. Nioi-guchi is in shimkri-gokoro (border of jigane and ha is relatively distinct). Nie attached in standing in a group. Sunagashi appeared.
Boushi : It becomes midare-komi. Saki turns in ko-maru.

The man who was called Sei-zaemon-i, buddhist name as Zen-sai, had four children. The third son was Wakasa-no-kami Ujifusa.
Wakasa-no-kami Ujifusa was born at Gifu in Tenmon 13(1544). He was called Kyô-saburo, then changed to Sei-zae-mon. His first signature was "Kanefusa", then he had been creating the swords moving from Gifu to Seki. In Kô-ji 2(1556), he received the "sô-ryo-shoku"(primary heirship) of Yoshisada family from elder brother Iwami-no-kami Kunifusa. Then he became legitimate child of Yoshi-sada family.
Later on, he changed his name to Uji-fusa. On 19th April Eiroku 13(1570), he was titled as Saemon-no-shô-i. Three days later, on 22nd April, he received the title Wakasa-no-kami.

He was hired by Nobunaga ODA, attended at Kiyosu and Azu-chi. After the attack on Nobunaga and his suicide at Hon-nô-ji temple in June Tenshô 10(1582), Ujifusa returned to Gifu. He was hired by Nobutaka ODA, then moved to Kiyosu, created the swords.
He died in 57 years old at Kiyosu on 11th May Tenshô 18(1590). His buddhist name was "前若州大守良屋宗善居士"

His signatures : "兼房", "濃州関住氏房", "関住藤原氏房", "左衛門尉藤原氏房造", "若狭守藤原氏房", "若狭守氏房", "岐阜住氏房", etc.

In early works of Wakasa-no-kami Ujifusa, there were swords with the signature "関住若狭守氏房", it was considered that they were created around Eiroku 13, when he received the title Wakasa-no-kami. The swords were suri-agé, itame-hada well grained, mokumes mixed jigane, hamon are genomés, "Kanefusa"-chojis mixed. ( by "関市所有刀剣・拵"(swords and koshiraes owned by Seki city))

[ Conditions ] There are some rough part observed on jigane. Least remaining of "朱書"(red writing) is on nakago-omote.
