[Period] : Edo (Keicho) (1596-1615)
[Province] : Yamashiro

[ Feature] : Shape : Naginata-tsukuri, mitsu-mune, kashira not extended too much, normal form. There are naginata-groove both front and back.
Nakago : Ubu, yasurime is taka-no-ha. Saki is kuri-jiri.
Jitetsu : Itame-hada, mixed mokume, hada tatsu. Jinie attached. Chikei appeared.
Hamon : Sugu-ha, shallow notate, deep nioi, konie attached. Koashi appeared. Fine kinsen and sunagashi appeared. Clear nioi-kuchi.
Boushi : it turns in togari-kokoro.

Kunitake Fujiware was pupil of Kunihiro Horikawa. He described himself as descendant of Yoshinori, representative swordsmith of Kyoto in Muromachi period. He was told as a father of Izumo-no-kami Yoshitake. He also made the signature "Sanjyo Kunitake"

[ Highlight ] :
Fine form naginata, with rare ubu-nakago, which can be appreciated by specific Horikawa taste.
