Feature  Tsuba taking its motif from "Noh", titled "momi-ji-gari", describing Koreshige TAIRA beats the devil in the magnific scene of red colored Japanese maple. Tsuba tells silently a lingering sensation.

Family name as ARAKI, called Oni-ichi, whose signature was Morinobu, lived during Keio - Meiji periodes, mentioned on "To-so-kin-ko jiten(dictionary)" by Takeshi MORIYAMA. He lived in Ogami-machi town in Okayama city.

Conditions  Tiny scratches and flaw exist. But no harm for appreciation.

Feature :  Splendid tsuba with sophisticated tsuru(crane)-maru motif, with well grained iron migaki-ji.

Mr. Tsunaharu SASAKI was born at Niigata in Taisho 14(1924). Then he moved to Nobeoka city in Miyazaki pref. He started to study the swords and tsuba around Showa 30(1955).

This tsuba was made studying the metier of ancestor of Higo tsuba inlay, Matashichi HAYASHI.

The tsuba was made in Showa Tokyo Olympic year, it was certain that he wished further step forward of Japan in tsuru-maru shape.

In Showa 61(1986), he was appointed to non intangible cultural asset of Nobeoka city, Miyazaki pref.

It consist of a composition with a sense of unity. The ishimeji background which restrain gloss of shaku-do, reflect the light softly. It has the depth and elegant atmosphere.

Shaku-do migaki-ji hana(flower) ko-sukashi-zu tsuba, shaku-do nanako-ji ryu(dragon)-zu fuchi-gashira, shaku-do-ji shi-shi(lion)-zu menuki, shaku-do nanako-ji musha-zu kozuka, a-okai-chirashi nuri-zaya, kuro-iro(black)-ito(string) moro-tsumami- maki tsuka, nando-iro shoken(pure silk) sageo

Feature :  There is a wooden sword called "tsunagi" instead of real sword inside. Tsuka reeled in black strings, gold colored togi-dashi-zame(shark skin) attached with shaku-do fittings.
Aogai-chirashi nuri-zaya which reflect the light in colors, such as green and violet. They make fine ensemble.

Coditions : There is little portion which come off from same-gawa(shark skin) but not distinguished. In total, it maintains fine state.

Due to the attaching position,kojiri can not help having scrathes, but, this kojiri has no significant damage,
only tiny scratch. It has fine conditions. There is a tiny dent. You can use it for koshirae making.
